Unceasing Worship: Biblical Perspectives on Worship and the Arts by Harold M. Best is one of the best books on the theology of worship that I have read so far.

Best recommends the book on worship theology, "Engaging With God," by David Peterson. Best feels that people should read both Peterson's book and his book. Best feels that his book has many similar concepts that Peterson's book has, but are presented in a different light.

Part 1 (chapters 1 to 6) is about how everyone in the human race is designed to continuously worship. The question is who or what we are worshiping. The book explains many aspects of what continuous worship is and how we are to worship God continuously as individual and in gatherings of Christians including Sunday morning services.

Part 2 (chapters 7 to 14) includes discussion about continuous worship as related to music, the arts and culture.

Please note that chapter 2 can be heavy reading because of the concepts that are discussed -- concepts may be new or combinations of concepts. Chapters 1 and 3 may also be heavy reading, but all other chapters are easier reading.
