One reason why I prefer the Canon PowerShot A2000
with the AA batteries
over this SD1200 camera is because if you
need
a charged set of batteries, it is probably almost always easier
to find AA batteries in a store than a less standard-size battery and
one can probably find a NiMH battery charger fairly easily.
The "IS" at the end of the model number (e.g. SD1200 IS) stands
for "image stablization." This stablization of the camera reduces
the possiblity of the camera from being shaken when a picture is taken.
