The Canon PowerShot A1100 IS camera (12.1 megapixels)
is less expensive than the A2000 IS.
The A1100 has a 2.5" LCD screen with 115,000 pixels
like my Canon PowerShot A710 IS with 7.1 megapixels.
But my A710 has aperture priority or shutter priority options,
but the A1100 doesn't.

Click on the name of the camera to purchase the
Canon PowerShot A1100 IS digital camera
through Amazon.
I prefer cameras that use AA batteries, because if you need
a charged set of batteries, it is probably almost always easier
to find it in a store than a less standard-size battery and
one can probaly find a NiMH battery charger fairly easily.
The "IS" at the end of the model number (e.g. SD1200 IS) stands
for "image stablization." This stablization of the camera reduces
the possiblity of the camera from being shaken when a picture is taken.
